| 2025-01-26 | Tincan and Tincan Server have received updates to audio quality. Tincan Server is also rolling out plugin support, which we will release documentation for here within the coming month. This means developers and server operators will be able to make and use custom tailored plugins that will have functional effects on how the server works. The first documentation rollout will cover making plugins that will be able to process incoming messages, make any transformations needed, then continue to post the message -- this will server in allowing communities to have moderation and filters built in. More plugin features are on the way. |
| 2025-01-01 | Tincan has launched an official Kickstarter campaign in a bid to spread the word about Tincan and help establish a sustainable path for Tincan to grow. |
| 2024-12-27 | An official wiki section has been launched. The Tincan wiki is purposed for serving up technical information and documentation for managing Tincan Server. There will also be an official changelog to document versioning as it progresses, a long with a troubleshoot section for each version of Tincan (server, desktop client, mobile, ect). |
| 2024-12-16 | Tincan client now supports smooth password change requests for user accounts. |
| 2024-11-17 | Tincan and Tincan Server now fully support PGP and PGP clear signed messaging, along with AES encryption. Tincan Server has many more encryption friendly features and commands. We are aware of the shortcomings with the current voice chat in Tincan and are working hard to fix it and make your voice chat experience seamless, but in the meantime you should be able to enjoy Tincan's privacy and messaging features to the fullest! |
